Merry Christmas
MerRy Ho hO!
It's now after 7am, snow is falling, and I am the only one up. It's kinda nice having teenagers, they all want to sleep in. And by all means, I am letting them sleep! Besides that, all they wanted for Christmas this year is money. How easy can that be. I hope everyone has a super day and please don't forget why we celebrate Christmas. Love you all.

Grandma's Home
We are so glad that Grandma is home safe and sound. Shawn's mom has spent the last 4 months in Nepal. She had a wonderful experience and told us that she would go back in a minute. She is a RN and she went to Nepal to help the people. I can't wait to see pictures and hear more stories. We love you Grandma, and we are so glad to have you home. ((((((((hugs)))))))))

My Daddy :)
This is a birthday tribute to my cute little daddy! Happy Birthday, Dad. For many years we have celebrated his birthday on the 12th of December. It wasn't until a few years ago that my grandmother told us that it was actually on the 11th. Two of my brothers have already called him tonight to wish him a happy day, the rest will call tomorrow. As for me, I will dedicate this blog to him tonight and then call him tomorrow.
He is such an awesome Dad, husband, grandfather, brother and best of all, FRIEND. So, Daddy.... !HaPpY BirThDaY!

Good News and Bad?
Tonight we had our ward Christmas party with great food. I liked it because I didn't have to cook or clean up.
Shawn and Scott looked like they were having a great time?????
I had Megan pose.
This is my friends little guy, Jake.
He could care less about Santa.
The good news...
After the party I came home and was looking at my e mails and saw one from my brother, Tony. He was interviewed by BYU-I to work in their Technology Department as a Technical Support Specialist in the Desktop Support Division. (boy, that's a mouth full) and...(drum roll) he got the job! Yahoo! I'm excited for him and his family. They will be moving from Montana to good 'ole Rexburg. I wish them the best of luck.
The bad news....
My other brother, Bryan is in the hospital and the doctors don't seem to know what is wrong. He and his family recently moved from Virginia to Hawaii to serve 3 more years in the military. They have ruled out that it could be the "French Polio" that my younger brother, Kent had years ago. But his legs are still weak and can't seem to walk very well. So our prayers and well wishes are going to the Derricott boys at this time.
My other two brothers, David and Kent, are doing well. David is the Fire Chief in Mantua and Kent lives in Paradise. I just love my brothers! They are the best. I probably didn't think that while we were growing up, but years go by and you tend to rely on your family for love and support. And I'm glad they are mine.

Thanksgiving
Yes, it is over! We had a really nice time. It was just US and a co-worker of Shawn's that would have been alone this year. We had a nice time and tons of food. After dinner we sat and watched the craziest movie, "Hot Rod". Low budget, but laughed so hard we had tears. I am so thankful for families and friends. What would we do without any of them? Can't live with them, can't live without them.

Jordan
Jordan and Taylor are twins. He is also 16 and a junior. This is a bad picture, but he won't let me take one at home. I will get him one day and post a better one . Jordan is still recovering from knee surgery that happened in May 2007. He now had his knee brace that will help secure the knee while playing sports. The first baseball game of the season last year, he hyper-extended his left knee and was out the whole season. Drats! He was sure bummed. He is now ready to train and get ready for this season. Jordan loves to hang out with his friends and can't wait until Mom gives in to let them get their drivers license. He and Taylor have been driving on a permit. Does anyone want to pay for 3 teenage boys on their insurance?
Taylor
This is Taylor. He is 16 and a junior at Preston High. Taylor is involved in football, track and weight lifting. Last year Taylor broke his leg at he very first football game and was out all season. So this year I bought extra football insurance just in case. He had a great season and can't wait for next year. He loves to take things apart and sometimes they get put back together. He is now working on his own truck to get it in good running condition. He is funny and fun to be around.
Scott
Looks like Megan and I won! We are putting the brother's on the blog. They are not happy, but this will be part of my everyday journal and I can look back at things. Scott is 18 and a senior at Preston High. This is one of the many pictures we have of him and his girlfriend, Katelyn. Scott is a hard worker and loves to tease. He recently bought his own truck and is getting ready to tackle his senior project and deciding what to do after graduation. Megan thinks that the brothers should all stay at home and never move out. (until they fight, of course!)

New Member
This is a new member of our family, Cash. Scott kept hinting all week that Jack needed a little friend to play with. I had no idea what his intentions were until he came home from school today and brought little Cash. He is a mini Pinscher and way too adorable to tell him no. So I guess Jack will now have a playmate.

Brothers
OK, so now Megan thinks that I need to put her brothers on and highlight them a little. Unfortunately they don't think so. Soooo, guess who is going to win? Stay tuned to see if Megan got her way AGAIN.
