Yikes!

I must be addicted to Facebook more than blogging? I will try to update more, even if it is just for me to keep a journal. There is never a dull moment here. And can I just say, that I can't wait for this senior year to be over. I thought it was bad last year with Scott: Senior project, Senior paper, etc., etc., etc. This year is twice as bad, (ha) with Taylor and Jordan's projects. I think I worry more than they do about if it will get done or not. What are the odds that in the same year we have the Senior stuff AND 7th grade BUG and PLANT collections. Lucky me!
Mom is doing ok. Still no feeling on her left side, but she still has a positive attitude. We will be moving her to the Heritage Home here in Preston in a couple of weeks. Being closer to home will sure be nice for Mom and Dad both.
We had a nice Thanksgiving this year. We stayed home and had a nice dinner then we took dessert to Mom and Dad at the rehab center then we stayed and played card games. I think Mom really enjoyed it, but got tired real fast. I am thankful for my family for the love and support they give and show.

Mom's New Place

We were able to bring mom closer to home this week. She now resides at Logan Nursing and Rehab. She seems very comfortable and really likes it. The therapy is less, but more intense. It's nice for Dad to be closer to home so he can sleep in his own place.

Homecoming 2009

This has been a crazy and fun week for the boys. Homecoming 2009, Jordan and Taylor were both involved in the parade. Jordan on the Senior float and Taylor was nominated as Senior Royalty. He was voted as 1st attendant, along with Leslie Olsen. I thought he looked pretty dang cute, sweat and all! And here is Taylor and Daddy before the big game. Go INDIANS!

Mom's Recovery

View from dad's apartment.

The night of August 12th, 2009, mom had a stroke. These last couple of weeks has been a whirlwind of emotions. Sad, happy, nervous, excitement and disappointment. When someone in your family is in pain or hurting, it affects you all. Why then do bad things happen to good people. We are all learning and growing from this experience. It is going to be a long haul of intense therapy, but it will be worth it. Dad is staying down in in a house, that is owned by the McKay Dee Hospital. What a blessing to us kids that he can be close with mom. Though the therapy is hard and tiring, mom still has the time to be spunky and witty. Here is the address to where mom and dad can both receive cards or letters. (which is very helpful to both their needs)
Cute momma during a visit. :)

Grandpa's House

For a long time now, I have wanted to take a picture of my Great Grandpa Bodily Sr.'s house in Fairview. Every time we go for a ride I never have my camera. Tonight we specifically said we are going to go take pictures. I was only 11 years old when Great Grandpa Bodily Sr. died but, I remember this house. I especially like the stories that Grandpa Bodily Jr. would tell us about his childhood and teen years. What great memories!

Summer So Far...

I guess it's time for a new post. Scott is doing great in Alaska, but very busy. It will all pay off in the end. Both Taylor and Jordan are working 1 full time job and 1 part time job. This keep them very busy also. As for Megan and I, we are just home bodies that clean, do laundry, and clean some more. She is such great company and fun to do things with . Here are some random photos of our summer so far.
Nice pea patch in the garden.

Megan was bored so she had a fashion show with Jack.

Alaska Bound

Scott left for Alaska this morning at 1:15 A.M. He will be working at a fishing lodge owned and operated by our former Bishop and dear friends, Bob and Pat Miller. He will return mid-September. This is a picture of the lodge. He was so excited and has been looking forward to this trip for a long time. Can't wait to see pictures and hear the stories of his adventure.

Summer Novel

Megan and I decided that we wanted to read this summer. Our first novel is,
Walk Two Moons.
We thought that since Scott was in Alaska, Taylor and Jordan work full time, and Dad's at work, we would read books together.
It should be a fun summer!

Memorial Day Memories

This is Grandma giving us a special F.H.E about her experiences in Nepal. She went there on a service mission, for 4 months, to help teach the the people about personal hygiene and had some medical issues to address also. What an amazing mother-in-law she is! It was very interesting and sad to know that most of the young children had no mothers.

This is Mom and her third son, Shawn, at the Preston Cemetery.
We love you, Grandma Airplane.

Graduation Party

We had a graduation party for Scott and my cousin's son, Colby. We thought that since we would invite some of the same people, we would have the party together. We had such a good time with lots of laughter. GOOD LUCK to Scott and Colby, and may both your dreams come true! We LOVE you both.
